Benjamin Franklin's Inventions
Franklin was an inventor, and during his life he came up with some incredible ideas, among them the odometer, the Franklin stove, the glass armonica, the lending library, fireman's insurance, and of course the lightening rod. He spent nearly his entire life inventing, starting with his idea for swimming flippers in childhood, and continuing into old age, when his own failing sight led him to invent bifocal glasses.
