Remembering Franklin

In his life time, Franklin achieved great political success as a statesman and diplomat.  He signed the Declaration of Independance and the Constitution, and contnued his service to our nation until his death.  A lover of humor, when Franklin was a young man he composed his own epitaph:  "The body of B. Franklin Printer; like the cover of an old book, Its contents torn out, And strip of its Lettering and Gilding, Lies here, Food for Worms.  But the work shall not be whily lost; For it will, as he believ'd, appear once more, in a new and more perfect Edition. Corrected and Amended by the Author."   Benjamin Franklin died April 17th, 1790.
